What's Happening This Month
- Heritage Day will be held on August 7th from 11:00am – 4:00pm at the Exhibiton Grounds. There are many diverse acts that will range from dancing, singing, and musical performances. As well. there are a dozen food vendors varying from tradtional foods to cultural cuisine. This year there will also be many activities for kids to partake in, such as an arts and craft table, face painting, game zone and more! Admission is only $5.00, $3.00 for chidlren under twelve and $15.00 for the whole family.
- The Caribbean Carnival will be held at Galt Gardens from 11:00am to 10:00pm on August 26th. This free outdoor event will have a variety of food vendors, beer gardens, diverse forms or entertainment, and activities for kids. This all day event is fun for the whole family while you also get a taste of the Caribbean community here in Lethbridge.
Starting on September 20th from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, we will be commencing our Building Cultural Bridges program. These meetings will run for seven weeks, every Wednesday until November 1. These are free events intended to support an understanding of some of the diverse cultures that make up Canada’s nation.
August's Taste of
Coming Up in September
While there may not be any Taste Of events in August, September brings two great cultural nights!
- The Taste of Southern Alberta will be on the 15th at 6:30pm, which will serve an authentic Alberta meal. Tickets are $20 for adults and $13 for children under twelve.
- On September 29th we will be hosting the Taste of Mexico, which will consist of traditional foods, dessert, music, and entertainment. Ticket prices are also $20 and $13 for adults and children accordingly.
Both events will have a cash and card, bar. Be sure to attend these family friendly events and enjoy the night with new friends and a greater sense of new cultures.
